Romey Allison began work at the BBC where she was a production assistant on many programmes such as Doctor Who and Nanny. Qualifying as a director she handled 27 episodes of Coronation Street between March 1993 and February 1994 as well as working on series such as Brookside, Casualty and Sophia and Constance.
