In Baldur's Gate, it can be found in Durlag's Tower at the fourth underground level in the area with the carpet trap. This shield and the Shield of the Falling Stars are the best shields found in the game, the large shield has a better armor class bonus, but the shield of the falling stars offers better protection against missiles.
