Ermey Deegan was a drill instructor for the Green-Lantern Corps who trained a number of recruits that would go on to become some of the Corps' best fighters such notable Lanterns like Kilowog and Tomar Re. One of his top recruits was Kilowog, who he inspired to become one of the next great instructors for rookie Lanterns.
