When Odo regained his shapeshifting abilities after a dying infant Founder merged with him in 2373, he morphed into a Tarkalean hawk and flew from the entrance of the infirmary up into the roof of the Promenade, soaring above the walkways and finally coming to rest on the upper level adjacent to Quark's. (DS9: "The Begotten") According to the script, Tarkalean was pronounced as "tar-KAY-lee-uhn". [1]
