Department of Defense Investigation into NCIS is an investigation that began in May 2013 in which a team from the Department of Defense led by DOD agent Richard Parsons conducted an investigation into the members of the main NCIS Major Case Response Team in the aftermath of the Fight at Baltimore Dock. Originally thought have to been based on Ziva David and later Leon Vance, the investigation was later revealed to be truly focusing on the team's leader, NCIS Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs, resulting in Gibbs being arrested.
