The Mega-Challenge was a cancelled feature in Sonic the Comic that was first mentioned in Issue 1's Control Zone. The idea was for Boomers to compete against each other on a designated game, all of which would be under a strict time limit. Aside from this, Megadroid frequently asked readers (calling them "hot-shots") to send in their high-scores on various times, supposedly to create some sort of leader table. Later, readers were encouraged to enter times for games other than the Sonic the Hedgehog games, since there was too much competition. It was never revealed how STC would stop people cheating by simply stating wildly exaggerated times and scores, although images couldn't be altered so easily in 1993.
