Rovers suffered their first ever defeat to Barnet in this 2–0 reversal in League Two. Both sides were suffering from poor form and injury problems, Barnet to the extent that they weren't even able to fill their bench due to the lack of players they had available. As well as the defeat, more problems were heaped on Rovers when substitute Scott McGleish suffered a badly twisted ankle just eleven minutes after coming on and had to be stretchered off, contributing to the lengthy stoppage period at the end of the game.
