Leah Russell is a English scientist. She is born in 1947. Her parents, both being scientists, teach her trigonometry instead of the ABCs, and read her logarithms instead of fairy tales. Russell enters Oxford at the age of 17 in 1964. In "Deadly Countdown" and "Deadly Countdown (Part II)", a group headed by Gordon Shanks plans to kidnap a rocket which carries the new electronic brain of the US missile defense system. Shanks plans to sell such to a foreign power. Russell accompanies and assists Steve Austin to stop the rocket from being launched.
