Elmo's Great Grandmother appeared on a 1989 episode of Sesame Street, looking for Elmo. After Telly Monster has resolved his confusion over the relationship between grandmothers, mothers, and kids, Elmo's Great Grandmother arrives, confounding him further. The puppet was also used (sans glasses and shawl) in the song "Forty Blocks from My Home."
