The Synthetic Revolt was an event that occurred on Titan. At the time, a probeshipmind determined that the old Sol Council was not going to move from its stance that machine consciousnesses were commodities decided to back itself into a computer system in Iceland before plotting a course of the sun and bringing about its destruction. The backup was noted for containing all the data from the original shipmind and could carry out the same autonomous equipment duties and had the same maintenance subroutines. However, the backup did not possess a consciousness or personality.
