Vis plays a central role in any Ars Magica game. Finding Vis is not easy and usually a very time consuming task, generally also tied with luck. However, it is a necessity, and every mage will eventually find himself in a position where he would like to go out and find new sources. The core book gives no rules for that activity, only indicating that it would require a lot of time and effort. This is the purpose of this document, as well as introduce a new type of Vim spell which deals in sources of Vis, presented here as material for Original Research.
