The Hyenas are Scar's minions in The Lion King.They work for Scar until the end of the flim. Role in The Lion kingEditThe hyenas first appear in the song"Be Prepared" when Scar rallies as his army. They later appear when Scar r usurps the throne at Pride Rock. Then when Simba, Nala, Timon return at Pride Rock, they see some of the hyena clan sleeping. Timon says he hates hyenas/. Then, under Simba's instructions, Timon and Pumbaa wake up the hyenas that are sleeping by doing the Hawiian War Chant. Then Timon and Ppumbaa get the hyenas to chase them. Next Morning, the rest of the hyena clan are seen after Scar calls for Simba's mother, Sarabi. As Sarabi comes to the throne., hyenas growl and snap at her for not catching the food for them.
