Linebacker Noel Jenke, halfback Barry Mayer and defensive lineman Leon Trawick were named Academic All-Big Ten. Ray Parson was awarded the Team MVP Award. The team included Richard Fliehr as an offensive lineman. Fliehr is better known as professional wrestler Ric Flair.
