In 2007-08, "Beit Zvi" school for the perfotming art and the "Library theatre" productioned "Cats" in Israel. The production was heavily edited and cut, with a running time totalling approximately one and a quarter hours. Very few songs and characters survived unedited, including major characters such as Jellylorum and Jemima losing all of their material, and the numbers Bustopher, Pekes and Pollicles, Moments, Gus, Growltiger, and Addressing removed from the show, and other songs given to different characters.
