One of the ways in which elemental sulphur powder can be used to combat an insect invasion in homes is to dust sulphur on all surfaces, leave for a period of time, then mop up. Unfortunately, while this may work very well for most other insects due to sulphur's ability to kill just about anything including humans, this method of insect killing does not work on mites.
