The Taifū Elders (Hurricane Elders) are the main governing body of Senpūgakure, serving directly under the Whirlwind Chief, the current being Ryūko Maka. They help make many desicions of the village, though the final say is made by the WC. They have the support of the shinobi and villagers and tend to be very well liked. Taifū Elders are usually the heads of the major clans, except the WC's clan, who is the WC themselves. They are skilled shinobi and serve on the front lines, along with their fellow shinobi. There are usually six at a time.
