The Barkhesh Resistance employed five of the transports, escorted by three combat vehicles, in a convoy to transport supplies to the Rebel Alliance shortly after the Battle of Yavin. The transports were escorted by the T-65 X-wing starfighters of Rogue Squadron. Later, the Galactic Empire employed the vehicles as decoys for any possible rescue missions on the planet Kessel. They were rigged to emit Human life readings to deflect attention away from a nearby armored hover train that was actually carrying the prisoners and give it time to reach its destination.
