8th Division was a military unit within the Alliance to Restore the Republic. During the Galactic Civil War elements of the 8th division were stationed on Corellia to defend the Jedi Enclave on the planet. This garrison proved invaluable when Imperial forces launched an attack from an outpost on Talus.
