Shanice was a massage therapist employed at a spa which was visited by Leanne Battersby, Eva Price and Toyah Battersby in January 2017. Leanne was her first appointment and she noticed the advanced state of her pregnancy. She told Leanne that they'd better get on with the massage before the baby arrived as, afterwards, she would be run ragged but being a mum would be the best thing she would ever do. Toyah was stung by the words as, unknown to her half-sisters, she had been trying unsuccessfully to conceive for several years.
