Senator El Moru is the appointed Senator for Yavin to the New Republic Senate. His herdship moved into the sector soon after the Battle of Yavin and he has since been residing on Yavin IV studying the botany of the planet. He is an elder botanist on the Herdship Emerald Nova and despite his homeworld's current neutrality in the conflicts, he was an outspoken supporter of the Rebellion and now the New Republic.
