The Junk Armada was a collection of decommissioned ships yoked together by a magnetic field, which traveled through the galaxy. By around the year 3643 BBY the Armada was considered fabled and was controlled by an eccentric Admiral. At around this time scavengers would board the derelicts and search them for salvage, with those who were liked most by the Admiral being allowed access to the more intact vessels.
