the Cat-In-The-Box Failsafe Principle is a theoretical law relating to time-travel. The Principle may be related to the thought-experiment of Schrödinger's cat, which posits that, in essence, reality remains undetermined until it is observed. The Principle may relate to time-travel insofar as events which have not be directly observed did not occur in any particular manner; or perhaps more correctly, occurred simultaneously in every possible manner, with none becoming "true" until the event is actually observed. The Failsafe aspect of the Principle, then, may be that potential paradoxes will always be resolved through the effects of unobserved phenomena, because some possible manner of occurrence must necessarily resolve the paradox.
