At taekwondo schools, one function of a Demo Team is to sustain the interest of more advanced students. I.e., the Demo Team gives students "a fun social activity" that sustains their interest in taekwondo. The Demo Team also serves a recruitment function, to highlight the quality of instruction at the school, "Our students learn to be this good." In addition to demonstrating kicks, breaks, and forms, Demo Teams also often perform Taekwonmu, a combination of taekwondo with dance and acrobatic tricking.
