The 2007 USG Sheetrock 400 was a Nextel Cup (now Sprint Cup) event held at Chicagoland Speedway on July 15, 2007. Tony Stewart finally claimed his first victory of the year, leading nearly half of the laps in route to a 1.7-second victory on Matt Kenseth. Points leader Jeff Gordon cruised to a ninth place finish to hold a 303-point championship cushion on Denny Hamlin (17th). Things were getting tight, though, in the Race to the Chase.
