Eldon Township was located in the northern part of Victoria County, around the community of Kirkfield. In 2001, Eldon and all of the other municipalities in the County were amalgamated to form the City of Kawartha Lakes. Eldon's fire service became part of the Kawartha Lakes Fire & Rescue Service.
