In order to perform this electric type techni, a shinob must first gather lightning to their hand. If done successfully, the user will be holding a red ball of lightning that seems to have two out stretched wings. On more than one occasion, the user of such a technique received burns on the palm of their hands to the point where the skin peeled off and did not regrow. Once the lightning chakra is focused in their hand, the ninja would then run up to the enemy and throw it at them. This would cause the highly focused ball of lightning appear to flap its wings, hence the name.
