Joseph Saint-Amour (February 26, 1852 – March 16, 1962) was a Canadian supercentenarian from Quebec, Canada, which during his childhood was under British rule. He was only the second man to undisputedly reach 110, and the first to do so in the 20th century. He was the oldest person in the world from February 10, 1961, upon the death of James Henry Brett Jr., until his own death aged 110 years and 18 days. However, Brett's case has since been called into question, and so he may have held the record since the death of Christina Karnebeek-Backs (born October 2 1849 at Eibergen) on October 7, 1959.
