On the Dark RuneScape Wiki, editing from a proxy is acceptable for users who wish to further hide their IP, if privacy is a big concern for them. However, using a proxy for vandalism is not acceptable, and the proxy range will be blocked indefinitely after even a single abusive edit (See DRSW:UBP for more details). If for whatever reason editing requires the use of a proxy, please add {{Unblock|Reason}} to your user talk page. If there is a good reason, and little history of abuse from that proxy, then the proxy will be unblocked. Please note that all of this applies to both open and closed proxies, though commonly used open proxies may be blocked before they have been abused, in order to prevent future abuse.
