Artefacts (also later spelling artifact) are enchanted objects. They are also called shappes, shaps, chaps, lukkes, lúci (sg. lúcë), luchtan, lughton, looten, tokens, curuthli, cruths, corus, mageware, luthware, cruthware. An artefact specifically refers to and object that was ensorceled by a person. For naturally occurring enchantments are called merely magical objects when being precise, though the term artefact is commonly used to mean either. In extension term can be used for any object crafted by a person, whether magical or not, in addition to the term ware.
