The Sub Machinegun is a weapon that appears in Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles. The weapon is found scattered around in the first segment of Operation Javier. Picking it up will unlock it for use later on. The Sub Machinegun lacks in firepower and stopping power, often requiring more rounds to halt a zombie's assault and kill a zombie compared to the handgun. It compensates this with its fast firing rate and a large capacity. The stats for this weapon can be upgraded to improve its performance to where it can rival the handgun's in terms of per bullet damage and stopping power.
