Resistance 2 in Dublin's Metro Newspaper happened on the day that Resistance 2 was released into Europe (November 28th, 2008). A massive advertising campaign, Sony printed a four page spread of a fake Metro and put it inside Dublin's morning papers the Herald Am and the Metro itself. Stories ranged from the front-page spectacular to a scientific analysis of the Chimera and a letter from Noah Grace, the President of the United States, to the American people, urging them to band together against the Chimera threat.
