Ethring was a large town built on either side of the river Ringló at a major crossing of that river, the only recorded town in the Ringló Vale. A major road that led from Morthond Vale to Pelargir ran through it. During the War of the Ring, Aragorn crossed the river Ringló at Ethring with his Army of the Dead.
