It was like any other day in the Old Forest. Fatty Lumpkin was roaming the trees around Tom's house while Goldbery was inside tending to her lilies. Tom was dancing through the woods singing a happy tune while he tended to his domain. Suddenly, he heard a clatter coming from the river. "Probably more bumbling traveler's caught by Old Man Willow. I will take them home to give them food and pillow!" Tom sang merrily. He continued down toward the river, singing all the while. Tom reached the river and saw a strange sight; a man in trousers resembling cattle, trapped in Old Man Willow's roots. "Hey Dol Merry Now! What are you doing with the pants of Cow? Free this man Mister Willow! Hey Dol Merry Dol Ring A Dong Dillo!"
