The Southern Gate into the Forbidden City was a Torii arch, bearing a crystal and jade representation of the Imperial Mon. It was one of the largest, most impressive and heavily guarded structures in Otosan Uchi, built directly into the surrounding wall. It was crossed by the Road of the Most High.
