Decresendo(VKUM035) was born February 19, 2010 in the Kung Fu Mob. His mother was Kleintjie and his father was Ningaloo, the dominant pair of the Kung Fu at the time. Decresendo was born with one litter-mate sister named Cresendo(VKUF034). Both pups survived their first few weeks and started foraging with the adults. The Kung Fu was one of the largest mobs around with many adults to help look after the pups. Both Descesendo and his sister made it through their first year. At the age of nine month Descrendo followed the older males when they took to roving. As an adult meerkat, Descendo was expected to help out with the new pups and take sentry posts while the mob was out foraging.
