Transformers: The New Beast Wars is a fan-fiction series that takes place in an 'present day' of the Beast Wars show. It follows two crews of Maximals and Predacons following 13 'Planet Shards', items of immense, nearly infinite power. They have to get the shards together and back on Cybertron, otherwise it and Primus will die and Unicron can destroy the Multiverse. On this version of Cybertron, everyone for some reason has a beast mode. It's actually a Maximal and Predacon custom to select a beast mode upon their 'coming of age'.
