The 2005 Salute to the Troops 250 Presented by Dodge was a Busch Series event held at Pikes Peak International Raceway on July 23, 2005. David Green won his only event of the season in a thrilling duel. Five cars were within one second of each other in the closing laps and while the top few started battling, Green lurked in the mirror. Finally, with their tires spent, Green raced past the other contenders and beat Clint Bowyer by six-tenths of a second.
