Sebastian Abineri appeared in Coronation Street between April and June 1994 as Major Ron Williams, a racing pundit and ex-army colleague of Jim McDonald's. Born in 1954, the son of the late actor John Abineri and brother of the songwriter and playwright Daniel Abineri, he has also appeared in Out of the Unknown, Secret Army, Juliet Bravo, The Chief, Goodnight Sweetheart, Kingdom and several roles in The Bill. In 1979 he had a major role in the Yorkshire Television series Flambards. In the cinema he has appeared in A Bridge Too Far and Sherlock Holmes.
