In the mirror universe, Landar the Elder was a Romulan philosopher. His writings were well-known by the Romulan people, including Soleta and Rojan. The praetor Hiren allowed M'k'n'zy of Calhoun access to Landar's teachings, among other Romulan works, in 2347. A popular quote from Landar is "Why dirty your own paws when you can use someone else's paws," which was quoted by M'k'n'zy, Soleta, and Rojan in 2372.
