Leo Sayer sang his 1977 #1 hit "When I Need You" on episode 302 of The Muppet Show. During the number he is trapped in a tree by Billy the Bear, who is joined by a number of other woodland animals, including a beaver and Harold. They try to bring the tree down, until Crazy Harry finally blows it up. When Kermit guest hosted The Tonight Show in 1979, Miss Piggy and Sayer sang the song as a duet.
