Eddie Turner steps on a landmine in Afghanistan and most of his limbs are blown off. Back in the USA, his fiancé, Dr Alicia Walker, thinks she has found a solution to their problems; her former teacher Dr Richard Stein, who has just won a Nobel Peace Prize. Dr Stein creates new replacement arms for Eddie, but is he is required to constantly give the patient a secretive injection. At the same time, Eddie is verbally abused by the hospital orderly. Alicia finds Stein at his home and informs him that Eddie is the monster. They set out into the night to find him.
