Oakley Plantation, located in St. Francisville, Louisiana, was a mansion where John James Audubon once stayed while working as a drawing master for the children of the plantation's owner. The plantation now houses many of Audubon's drawings, letters, and bird specimens. Vincent D'Agosta went to Oakley during the Fever Dream investigation looking for specimens of the Carolina Parakeet , which Helen Pendergast had also been looking for prior to her death. He found that on her visit twelve years earlier she had stolen the parakeet specimens owned by the plantation.
