The Contracts of Shade and Spirit are a set of changeling abilities found in Changeling: The Lost. It is associated with and used by the Darklings. The more accomplished of the Darklings are said to move beyond the powers of Darkness, and become able to manipulate Death itself. However, the changeling abilities to alter mortality is a mere shadow of what the True Fae can use.
