Delar Apon was a leader of one of the various Seroccan gangs that came to inhabit the Refugee Sector of Nar Shaddaa in the wake of the Jedi Civil War. Though he was initially considered a good and fair-minded leader by his followers, he fell out of favor after the gang was nearly massacred by a rival faction, and this led to him being deposed by Ejif Wetel, who a short time later, reformed the gang into the criminal syndicate known as the Burning Hand.
