If at any point the German Emperor is unable to perform his duties, he may allow the Imperial Chancellor to assume his powers and duties, which shall be relinquished upon the Emperor's return. During this period, the Chancellor has the full weight and authority of the Emperor on all matters. There is currently no active Chancellor Regent within The German Empire
