Damian Westfall Damian Westfall (1977-) is a contemporary American writer, painter, theatrical director, actor and html/css designer. His first two novels have been termed "Dialogue Novels" being dialogue and monologue driven, in the tradition of Marguerite Duras and the satires of Lucan. Both novels, "Molly Divorce"(2006) and "Bennett's Cow-Eyed Girl"(2007) were based on classical Greek Mythology of Medea and Prometheus, respectively. His third book, "The Rise and Fall of Humphrey Chimpden Earwicker" is a departure from the Greek to the Irish, as a meditation on James Joyce's seemingly impossible novel "Finnegans Wake". Westfall took characters and scenes from Joyce's book, translated them from the "Dream Language" they were originally written in, and added other material inspired by Joyc
