"Lie to Me" is the seventh episode of the second season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and is the nineteenth episode altogether. This episode was both written and directed by Joss Whedon. It was originally brodcast on November 3, 1997. Buffy is lured into a trap by a group of vampire wannabes, including her friend Ford, who hope that Spike will turn them into vampires in exchange for giving him the Slayer.
