Youngest of the siblings, Lanar is but newly freed from being kept close under his mother's eye due to a lingering illness. Rebellion runs strongly in the young male, and he's set off to see all the things he couldn't during his illness. He's fallen quickly into arguments with Dianna over her behavior, and Doreen over her treatment of her daughter Anys, in whom he sees a fellow prisoner of an over-protective mother. With Arturo, he's shown a respect perhaps born of early hero-worship for his elder brother, but strongly tempered by his rebellious determination to be his own person.
