Salazaar (or Karnor III) was a planet located somewhere in the space of the galaxy's Alpha or Beta Quadrants, the third planet in orbit of the Karnor star system, at coordinates 3.77S 3.31E. Salazaar, the only class M planet in the Karnor system, had three moons, and was the location of a key Federation outpost in the Salazaar Shipyards, a Starfleet-maintained starship construction facility in orbit of the world. The Salazaar yards were the driving force in Starfleet's 23rd century ship design, construction, and testing. Numerous businesses and investors leading the industry were also based on Salazaar.
