The Kitsu Language was used as a common tongue by many ancient Five Races, which also included the Ningyo, Zokujin, Kenku, and Trolls. The language was lost after the Kitsu virtual extinction and subsequent absorption into the Lion Clan, until a kenku taught the Horiuchi Daimyo Horiuchi Shem-Zhe, who learned the secrets of the City of Night.
